Agile Ideas
#107 | You're more Agile than you think
In this episode, we explore the challenges of shifting into Agile ways of working and how it requires a complete shift in behavior and role. We discuss how people collaborate and deliver in an Agile environment and the skills that can be applied in Agile for various roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Project Admin/Coordinator, Developer, Tester, and more.
We provide a guide to transitioning between your current role and Agile, highlighting the transferrable skills and the Agile role you could transition to. We discuss the fear people have when it comes to Agile and the misconceptions around having to learn new skills or being out of a job. We emphasize that a lot of existing capabilities are transferrable and can naturally fit within an Agile environment.
Furthermore, we discuss the things that people should unlearn to be truly Agile, such as having a fixed mindset, lacking curiosity, being rigid and inflexible, having a one size fits all approach, not being a team player, being unable to adapt quickly, and having no sense of urgency.
Join us as we uncover the fundamentals of Agile and how to shift into Agile ways of working.
